2024 Accounts

The members present their report and the unaudited financial statements of East Harptree Community Benefit Society for the period 14 September 2023 to 30 September 2024. The principal activity during the period was the purchase and renovation of the pub and appointing a tenant to run the pub. 

The inaugural AGM for East Harptree Community Benefit Society will take place on 25 February. Shareholders will be invited to attend via email. Please see the relevant papers below.

We held a successful public share offer that closed on 19 November 2024. We have retained this important document for record purposes, but we are not open for share purchase at the moment.

Share Withdrawal Policy

East Harptree Community Benefit Society Limited (EHCBS) is required by the rules of the association to have a policy on share withdrawals the details of which are set out in section 8.4 of the rules.

Share Nomination Form 

A member of the society can nominate one or more persons to become entitled to some or the whole part of a member’s share investment. If you wish to make a nomination you can use the Nomination Form.

EHCBS Model Rules

East Harptree Community Benefit Society is registered under the law as a society for the benefit of the community with the Financial Conduct Authority. Our key mission is to acquire the freehold of the Waldegrave Arms and to secure it as an asset and resource of the Society for the benefit of the community of East Harptree now and in the future. These Rules set out the way in which the Society is owned, organised and governed.

The Business Plan and Share Offer Prospectus have been awarded the Community Share Standard Mark. This is awarded by an independent assessor to share offers that meet the Community Shares Unit’s standards of good practice. This rigorous process means we can launch our share offer with confidence.

East Harptree Community Benefit Society is a member of the Plunkett Foundation who provides practical advice, support and training to help communities establish and run successful community businesses with long term survival rates.
